High & Low

Blazer: J.Crew (on sale) // Jorts: Blanknyc // Shirt: J.Crew // Bag: Tory Burch // Shoes: Shoemint // Sunnies: RayBan // Rings: David Yurman and Indigos

It is hard to believe, but today is my blog's one year anniversary!! It has  been a wonderful 365 days full of fashion and fun. Thank you so much to everyone who has followed and supported The Quarter Life Closet over the last year. Thank you as well to my family and friends, your encouragement throughout this venture has meant the world to me!

My anniversary outfit is lady about town, meets weekend warrior. I love taking a shimmery tweed jacket and pointed pumps and dressing them down with jorts (jean shorts) and a classic striped tee. Mixing your work or dressy pieces, with your casual go-tos helps to make the most of your wardrobe when you are getting bored with the same old combinations.

Not only is today my blog-versary... it is also my Dad's birthday! So happy birthday Dad, thank you for everything you do and I hope you have a great day. Love you!

I hope everyone has a great rest of the week, and thank you for reading!

Weekend Mix

Tank: Tibi // Jacket: J.Crew (loving this similar one here) // Jeans: Zara (similar here) // Sandals: Stuart Weitzman // Bag: Celine // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Bracelets: David Yurman

Hello and happy Monday!  Mixing texture and print is a great way to upgrade your weekend ensemble. Dressing casually for running errands or grabbing lunch with friends isn't an excuse to be boring. The key is to find great basics with special details, like this sporty jacket in a ladylike tweed, or a basic tank in a graphic leopard. Both are just as easy to throw on a a t-shirt and sweatshirt...and just as comfortable. Plus you never know who you may run into grocery shopping! I hope you have a great start to your week, and as always thank you for reading.

Spring Dimensions

Top: Zara // Skirt: Zara // Denim Jacket: J.Crew // Coat: J.Crew (similar here) // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Earrings: J.Crew (similar here) // Bracelets: David Yurman // Ring: David Yurman // Shoes: J.Crew // Lips: Tom Ford

Hello Everyone! Thank goodness it is officially spring! This ensemble is perfect way to kick off the season because it encompasses everything I am loving fashion wise right now: crop tops, midi skirts, and head-to-tow light colors. In addition, having  triple layer options are a perfect solution to the schizophrenic weather that this time of year brings. I just can't decide which way I like this multi-dimensional outfit best! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by.

Leather & Mesh

Shirt: Zara // Crop underneath: American Apparel // Shorts: TopShop (similar here) // Shoes: Stuart Weitzman // Bag: Celine // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Nail Color (on toes): OPI 'Kiss Me I'm Brazilian'

Happy Monday! I am back to the real world, yes... my vacation is over. As sad as I am to be back to the daily grind, I brought back some pretty great souvenirs: 1. A lovely tan and 2. These wonderful gladiator sandals.  Though my tan will fade, these sandals are officially a major favorite and I love them paired with my leather shorts and airy white crop top. When transitioning fall and winter leather pieces into spring, it is best to juxtapose them with overtly light and feminine pieces to create great contrast. I kept the rest of my outfit very minimal to let the trendy pieces stand out. I hope everyone has a great week and a Happy St. Patrick's Day! Thank you as always for reading.

Stripes at Sunset

Shorts: ASOS // Shirt: ASOS // Shoes: J.Crew // Bag: Chanel (Borrowed) // Sunnies: RayBan // Lips: NARS in YU // Bracelets: David Yurman // Watch: Michael Kors

Hello Everyone! I am sorry to say that I have been on a blog-vacation while I have been on my trip in South Florida and the Keys. But all the sunshine and water in my home state has left me feeling reenergized and relaxed. This little outfit reflects my vacation style. I have been literally living in high waisted shorts, they are so flattering and fun to wear...and in a matching, set it doesn't get much easier. I also love their not-so-subtle nautical flair, since my vacation residence has been on my parent's boat. Let's just say, I am going to go to the airport kicking and screaming... I am not ready to get back to real life. Hope you are having great end of the week, and as always thank you for reading.

Last Call, Winter

Coat: DVF (old, similar here) // Vest (underneath): SheInside (now on sale) // Sweater: N.Peal // Jeans: J.Crew (similar here) // Boots: Stuart Weitzman (finally bought these babies... best purchase ever) // Lips: Nars Matte Lip Pencil in Yu // Glasses: c/o GlassesUSA

Hey there winter... It has been fun. Really, you have done a great job on all the all the freezing rain, ice, and wind. However, it is now March, and I hate to say... you have over stayed your welcome. The only positive thing about your presence is that I have gotten a lot of wear out of my winter favorites seen here in this casual, errand-running ensemble. Winter favorites beware, you are headed for the back of the closet very soon.

To my readers, I hope wherever you are is warmer than the 20 degree highs here today. I can't wait for my vacation next week in South Florida. Shorts, sundresses, and sand are calling my name! Thank you as always for stopping by.
